    Best I achieved from the 3.2 manual was 34mpg. Best in the auto was 28-30mpg. Average 25. Not possible get that.

    Had two manuals MK3 in my time too and 25-30 was where they were at.

    Must be a typo, 30-35 might be just believable no way 40-45 for a big lump of a vehicle like that.
    We have a new 3.5 lwb, punchy but not economical.:D

    Never knew they did a 3.5 diesel tbh, the 3.2 was bored out from the previous 2.8 iirc.

    I made a mistake reading the handbook, it listed several models and the one we have is the 3500 model, it has the 4M41 3.2 which is putting out 200ps and 441nm
    I assumed the 3500 referred to the engine size but it looks like its the towing capacity @3500kg in markets other than EU:rolleyes:
