Hello every one, I'm doing a course in out door education and a large part of it is guiding people.. And I was just wondering if anyone had interesting facts about carlow. Im doing guided tour of the River Barrow and if anyone could lead me in the right direction for cool little stories or anything interesting I could talk about I'd appreciate it! Ive done loads of research, and found good info, but what I find people enjoy the most is the local knowledge, the kind that isn't in the books! Thanks!

If you're heading out the Athy side of Carlow - Shrule castle is on the banks of the barrow about 4 miles out and there is an old story about it
