My previous employer never sent me one but I know it was sent to Revenue as all my details are up to date on ROS. I'm starting a new job and they have asked me to bring my P45 so I was wondering can Revenue send me one?

    Thanks for your help.

The odds are that your old employer uploaded the info to the Revenue systems, so it won't be a physical P45.

If you register your new job on Revenue's jobs & pensions service online, your P45 information will be included on your tax credit certificate when it is sent out.

the new employer doesn't really need the P45 tbh. Give them your PPS number and they can register you with that. I also advise that you then contact Revenue yourself and registere yourself with the new employer (you will need the new employer's Company Reg Number).

    No.

If you left work prior to 1 January 2017 you dont need a P45. You start on a new year.

Revenue aren't allowing employers to register employees using a PPS number any more (P46). They'll only register new employees on behalf of employers if the employee holds a P45 from the current year. Otherwise the employee has to register their employment themselves using the Jobs & Pensions service.
