The National Transport Authority has published figures which show that 10 million more passengers used state-supported public transport operators during 2016. In total, 234 million passengers used subsidised PSO (Public Service Obligation) services provided by Dublin Bus, Bus Éireann, Iarnród Éireann and Luas, which equates to a 4.4% rise in passenger usage compared to 2015.

In light of these impressive figures, we spoke to Anne Graham, CEO of the National Transport Authority about new technologies, environmental factors and the operator’s future projects.
