Front Lower Tooth Dental Implant Advice

Hi all, long story short I managed to get gum disease affecting one of my lower front teeth, the very centre unfortunately.

I was told I had two choices, to look after the tooth as best I can for quite some time and see how it gets on and the other to pursue an implant.

Of course, for the time being, I will aim to look after it best I can, flossing and cleaning it properly twice/three times a day.

I'm wondering what a good price would be for an implant in Dublin or possibly pursue it abroad. Looks like I'll have to get saving now anyway!

If you have lost a lot of bone around a lower front tooth and especially if bone is lost on the lip side then an implant might be out of the question... A bridge might be a better solution...

You can lose an implant in the same way you can lose a tooth...ie: if you had periodontitis, almost inevitably you're at higher risk of peri-implantitis. Smoking cessation& optimal oral hygiene minimise the risk, but external factors such as stress & genetics ( family history of periodontal disease) should be taken into account.
