Anybody got any tips for catching cows in heat. We have 5 at the moment that we're looking to get in calf. Buying a bull isn't an option unfortunately. Have been trying to watch them but it's proving tricky. Any ideas people?

    Scratch cards

Got them from co-op super stores and find them usefull. Put them on and if there is action you'll have a fair idea if when they are due to come in heat again next.

Tail paint isn't much good without observation at least 3 times a day viewing for 20 minutes each time. A vacsectomised bull with a marker would be a less time consuming option.

Switch off the wifi router, more time on the farm.
