Starts on July 25th and the first trailer was released today.
Welcome to a place where being normal is really quite strange. From the visionary director of "Mr. Robot" and based on the hit book series from the author behind HBO's "True Blood" comes a journey into a remote Texas town where no one is who they seem. From vampires and witches to psychics and hit men, Midnight is a mysterious safe haven for those who are different. As the town members fight off outside pressures from rowdy biker gangs, ever-suspicious cops and their own dangerous pasts, they band together and form a strong and unlikely family.

Manfred Bernardo, Bobo Winthrop, and Fiji Cavanaugh...good god, I don't want to watch any series with character names like those.

I'm going to watch it and it give it a try, even if it's true blood light. It's a network television show so it can't go full true blood but maybe they surprise it and do something with it.

But than again, it's NBC and we should be glad it's not set in Chicago....

Just finished Episode 1 and I'm going to watch Episode 2 to give it some time to see if they have changed much between pilot and episode 2. Especially as there has been such a long delay between pilot, pick-up and further filming.

While it seams interesting, some of the characters are very typical for the being that they are and some of the characters need better development, but maybe that is addressed in further episodes.

I can't agree with the True Blood light comment of one critic, yes there are parallels but overall it is not the same in my eyes after episode 1.

The cast is talented but uneven and not always on their mark, but overall it's was quite a nice episode.

Let's see how Episode 2 pans out.

I found it likeable that about it but it did do enough to bring me back for the second episode.

Some promise in the pilot. Nice.

Another likeable episode the ending gave it a bit of future story again it did enough for me to watch the next episode.

Usually you opinion is spot on, so I'm not sure if I should give Episode 2 a go later on.

I have found the two episodes enjoyable nothing more and both have done enough to keep me interested in where they are trying to go with the story.

Yeah. I'm trying really hard. It's like it's reversed. We kick off with the spirits, ghosts, Vampire and what not and the point, or plot, is teased out sparingly.
Over all, it's a little like some committee or focus group spliced Wynonna Earp and Supernatural. I'll endeavour to persevere...

The finale is tonight with no word on renewal yet

It doesn't come accross as being very expensive to make.

The audience on wiki doesn't seem to have dropped as bad as some shows I've seen.

I'd say it depends on what's going on in NBC and whether it has a show to replace it with.

Caught up with the finale. It's alright.

Like, once you don't expect a big budget show, it's giving out the mythos of its story alright.

Could see where trade offs were being made with money but was already used to it.

    Example:
the demon in the finale doing the fireballs down a street with no-one on them. my guess was the trade off was explosions but no personal injury insurance so no stunt people

Excellent, nice little show with some great potential. A lot of dodgy acting/casting but still a nice new entry to shows to watch
