I got divorced about 8 years ago. Long drawn out case, plenty of court appearances.... with both barrister and solicitor.
Despite asking for bill at the time was never given one.
The solicitor still has the deeds of my house.
I want to get them and get new solicitor for other matter.
Would I still be liable for the outstanding fees

Questions regarding liability for debts (or otherwise) are requests for legal advice and are not allowed, per forum charter.

If you have a new solicitor, you should ask him/her for advice.
