Making Flue roof stabilizer poles?

Flue coming out through roof and will rise about 8 feet over slate height. Need 2 stabilizers to steady it in wind. Was thinking of metal conduit or something similar. One each side of pipe, near the top, and attached to roof at approx 60 degree angle. But attaching it to slates may lead to water ingress and also having trouble finding metal conduit? Ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

The uni strut is good. Adaptable and very strong.

I'd take a look at a 'flue guy wire kit'. Would look quite neat.

3 wires under tension. Flexible as to where the wires are fixed (as long as roughly 120 degs apart)

    its a metal channel. usually 20mmx 40mm or 40mm x 40 mm square
its a system like mechano. it all bolts together to support and hold stuff.
electritions and plumber use it a lot because it is easy to work with and easy to configure into different shapes

Wall plate straps may work also, they're strong but bendable , have predrilled holes for bolts and are flat so will run under your roof finish and fix to a batten without the need to drill through.
