    1) Is there a state body who tests household drinking water quality?

    For general information on water quality in your area, please see here.

    There are no state bodies responsible for the testing or the sampling of water on the private side of a property. If you would like to have your water privately tested, you can find a list of accredited testing facilities here.

    This website may also provide some relevant information here.

    2) I’ve had no water pressure to my property and it is affecting my cold kitchen tap. Can you help?

    We’re sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your water pressure. Please send us the following details, via PM, and we can investigate this for you:

    - Your name;
    - Address and;
    - Contact number.

    3) I’ve received a bill via email in the form of a .js file. Is this from you and how do I open it?

    We have been made aware of emails being sent asking people to 'download a bill'. These emails are not from Irish Water and we recommend that you delete it immediately and to not click on the attachment or provide any financial information.

    We have also posted information about this on our website.

    4) I own a property that is currently not connected to the mains, how much would it cost to reconnect the property to the public mains?

    Please visit our Connections page for more information on Water and Wastewater connections for your property.

    5) I’ve had no water supply to my property since this afternoon, is there an outage in my area?

    If the water supply to your cold kitchen tap is affected and there are no known outages for your area on our website at wtr.ie/SupplyInfo, please send us the following details and we can investigate:

    - Name;
    - Address; and
    - Contact number.
