Lads, I have a couple of empty ewes after lambing (I didnt scan).

What is best to do with these? Any point in keeping them until next year? They are fine 2015 born ewes that never lambed.

2nd year with the ram coming back empty? If it's the first year I'd be tempted to keep them culling other problem ewes instead

First year with the Ram. Am tempted to keep them as they are fine big ewes.

I'd sell them, unless you have grass for them, even after that you would be well sickened if they were empty next year.I know the scanning man didn't come out to you this year because of numbers but it would have made life easier.

If fattened, the money they'd bring now, would pay for new ewe lambs without issues next summer.

Agree and I'd imagine they were getting fed fairly heavy if he thought they were in lamb so shouldn't take much till finish them.
