Hi all, moving to Glounthaune in a couple of weeks. Never lived on that side of the city before, so any advice on Internet Service Providers and refuse collection is most appreciated! :)

Glounthaune is a village and not part of the city that's just your first mistake :P

Hardly the sticks. Also Op mentioned that s/he had never lived on the side of the city before, not that Glounthaune was IN the city or part of the city.:)

    Use this map:
    http://irelandoffline.org/map/#/home

The exchange servicing the area is Little Island

    Exchange : LITTLE ISLAND
    Cab Identification : LED1_002
    Status : Cabinet is Live
Location : Glounthaune, Cork (Church car park)

If you live close (under 1400m) to that little green box expect great service. Outside that it'll be rather poor as it'll be 3.5km + ADSL (old, slower broadband) line from Little Island or the edge of the cabs range.

Sweet! There's a cabinet right at the front of the estate we're moving to! Thanks a million, this is a handy resource!

Yeah, probably just going to go with Eir as there's not really that much variety in ISPs in the area.

I'm not with Eir myself but have heard some good stories and competitive packages from them recently.
