Ok so I was in the adult mental health service unit for a while last year and made a new friend while there. So we keep in contact with each other through whattsapp. Anyway he is still on the unit.

So I said one day that I should come up with a cool story for him(Bad idea now I know) So I told him I was walking my dog and seen this hot girl and said to myself I will rape her and I then pulled off her bottoms and she screamed so I said to her that I slipped and to stop me falling I grabbed her bottoms and said that she asked me if I was alright and I said I'm fine and we went our separate ways.

Looking back now it was not really such a funny thing to say.

I also told him she was about 16 or 17 and that if I see her again she won't be so lucky(Again not really such a tasteful thing to say)

So the guards called to the house one day and I wasn't there but my mother was and she was upset. They called me on the phone and it wasn't a great conversation. I tried to tell him it was a joke but he wouldn't listen and he kept mentioning that I was in the mental health services as if that was a bad thing.

All in all I am not feeling so great, I'm stressed etc...

To be honest I never knew writing a text message to a friend even one of bad taste can backfire so much. I'm left feeling as if I did try to rape someone.

Is there not a such thing as freedom of speech.

My friend showed the messages to the nurses and nurses contacted the Garda.

Is there anything I can do? I do not have the money for a solicitor.

in fairness, it appears you did suggest (jokingly or not) that you were going to rape a teenager or do something worse to her. Not hard to see why the gardai became involved, imo.

You could grow up and learn not to speak and think of women in such a way.

    Edit: And children also.
