Depends how many miles your doing and what you want it for. Difference in running petrol and diesel is negligible at low ish miles. I would drive a hard bargain though as it will be unpopular due to prejudice rather than anything being wrong with it.

    If you don't I will 😉, that's a fine hilux , but just check out insurance first , I'd say it's a nice drive

Have been looking for a single cab for quite a while. Most would run a mile from it because it ain't no 2.5L Daysul. Maybe a candidate for LPG conversion?

Are you able to get commercial tax on it ? I wouldn't like to be taxing that privately :)

Only if you have a business.

Thats one worry id have with it .
It would want to be a bargain to start with IMO because if you want to sell in a few years it could be fairly difficult to shift on because of what it is.

Push comes to shove I know people in Australia who could source stuff for me but I hope it doesn't come to that

Keep in mind an Irish spec single cab hilux 2.5 D-4D was only €25k incl VAT new

I'd call around insurers first for quotes, it's very unlikely that engine configuration has ever been quoted here before.

Wouldn't it have been qouted on that very hilux though seeing as it's registered here with 2 years?

Yes it actually would be, I wasn't thinking :D. I suppose though that quote will be limited to the underwritters who took that business, might only be 1 insurer who could provide a quote.
