I am looking for recommendations for shops with a decent selection of bridal footwear. Am based in the midlands but willing to travel. Also how much do people typically spend? I want a designer look but need to keep within budget. Thanks

I bought a gorgeous pair of shoes, online from USA...they are nothing like bridal shoes and are blue, I didnt care what they cost as I knew I would get loads of wear from them, .you should try online, there I see much more choice and no need to travel anywhere, just be careful to read the reviews, I knew what size to get based on the reviews.

Thanks for the reply. Ideally I want to try on before I buy so I have held off on the online options for the moment. Did you buy from an online store in the US?

Hopefully somebody will have more up to date info but here was the state of play regarding wedding shoes (as in white/Ivory shoes aimed at brides) in Dublin in 2014:

Firstly, most wedding shops didn't have them as brides were going online to buy. Secondly, the shops that did have them did not have a large range of sizes. Here are the shops where I tried wedding shoes on. I would, however phone ahead in case some of this information is out of date:
Debenhams (still have them on display)
Cinders (saw bridal shoes there recently)
    Kathy de Stafford
    Ciara Bridal
    Angelo Bridal

Best of luck with your search. I found the whole wedding shoes thing a pain!!! And ended up having to buy online...

I couldn't get what I wanted so got them from Elegant Steps - based in Liverpool

I bought them from a large shoe retailer, can't remember which one but I don't know if they actually have a store. Couldn't get anything like them over here and was delighted with them.

Shoes were so hard to shop for! In the end I got Rainbow Club (Think they are the Nina ones) and they were really comfy up to about midnight. I'm awful with heels though. I got them from Helena Quinlan bridal in Galway. I'm normally a 5 but needed a 5.5 in them. They were about €110. Rainbow Club will dye them another colour for you afterwards too but i never got around to it.

Thanks for all the replies. I had looked at rainbow club too. Debenhams seem to have a few online so I think I might try there and see what they have in store.

On the topic of wedding shoes, I'm on the lookout for a "non bridal" pair of wedding shoes - i.e. comfortable, low-mid heel, neutral colour (not white and not satin). Something I could easily wear again. Any suggestions?

I just ordered some jenny packham shoes from Debenham's, with 20% off too!
Fingers crossed they fit, the reviews are good! I went with gold embellished mid heel shoes in the end -
