    Hi all! :)

Would anyone be able to recommend the cheapest (& reliable) transfer option for five adults and one toddler from Barcelona airport to Salou, and return 8 days later?

We are travelling out on the 4th May & returning on the 11th May.

Many thanks for any advice. :o

It's been a good number of years but if i was doing it again I'd research doing it by train, seem to remember it being pretty cheap

Haven't used them for Barcelone to Salou but used suntransfers from Schipol to Duinrell last summer and it was cheaper than public transport

Would be c.€335 return for you in a private minivan

As far as I can tell, for public transport, you would need a bus from the airport to Barcelona Sants from where you get the train to Salou. Train tickets show up at c.€100 which I think is each way (€20-25 each), plus the bus fares. Then there's the time consideration as well.

If it were me I'd pay for the transfer, door to door, no waiting around

Resorthoppa is about €177 return for a shared shuttle.
I wouldn't expect too may drop offs as Reus airport is much closer.

You can use Bus Plana, or you can book through Ryanair and get a shuttle or private transfer off them.

Alternatively just get the train into El Prat, and then onwards to Salou, very reasonable prices. Its what i done myself as we spent a day in Barca and just stored our bags. Only downside is the Salou train station is on the wrong side of town, well at least it was for me. When you have kids with you maybe just go that extra bit of expense and go point to point.

Didn't see your post until AFTER I'd booked with them! :o

Raging as I didn't realise they had an Irish site, so paid in sterling which cost more.

Oh well, at least I found a 25% off discount code and got it for €161 for 5+1 return. :)

Thanks to everyone for all the great suggestions. :)

    Hey there,

Doing the same trip in August and looking for the best way from the airport to Salou. I'm just wondering how you got on with Hoppa as I looked at them for booking and seem to be one if the cheapest around!

    Thanks :)

    Hey, we got on grand.

    All went perfectly.

However, there is a standard bus service which goes from the Airport at about €15 per person.

It may work out cheaper for you?

    Otherwise, Hoppa.ie was spot on.

    Enjoy!

Rent a vehicle. 5 kids is a lot. You could do a bus for 15 a head e/w, but up to yourself.

Have you considered leaving 2 kids at home?
