    Peugeot 306's don't have diesel 1.4 engines.....

    Neither does the 308, so it's probably either a 206 or 307?

    Sorry yes it's a 307

    Thanks :)

Do these 1.4 HDIs have a dual mass flywheel?

Any idea on the price of a clutch for a 1.4 petrol 306?

    Have the kit, just labour.

got the car yesterday, clutch is neither high or low on the biting point, just going to change it to be on the safe side really and keep it as a spare.

Two-three hundreds. Buy really if it's fine, don't touch it... Not in bangernomics territory

Wouldn't mind the biting point.. is it slipping? If not it'll be grand.

Utter madness spending the price of the car on an unnecessary part change..

Tis driving away fine. Was just going to change it for peace of mind going forward as i don't know the history.

It is a grand car as a spare.

Clutches don't need to be done on a preventative maintenance basis, only need to be changed when they need to be changed.

And especially not on a bangernomics car, change the timing belt if you're looking for somewhere to throw a few bob....

Good little bargain you got but no point spending unnecessary money on it just yet - keep the price of the labour for something else that may crop up. .

Yeah she was a pretty good bargain.

    Solid out.

The only issue that has arisen is a broken door strap, that's an easy fix though.
