I'd appreciate some advice on this please. We have a power shower which is run by turning on our gas (zone separate for water) Usually turn on gas for 40 mins for a shower.
Also have an electric shower - not a power shower
Does anyone know which is cheaper to run for an average 10 minute shower. The gas or the electric?

Do you use hot water for anything else? If you only need hot water for the shower the excess you heat with the gas might be wasted if you're running hot water taps but don't actually want hot water. If you do need hot water for other things the gas will be cheaper unless you have zero insulation on your hot water cylinder.

your gas will depend on the size of your water cylinder and how much water you actually heat the electric shower will use 1.5 kwh for a ten min shower so that will cost 24 cents aprox.

Considering that you probably use multiple times the amount of water in power shower versus electric shower, I would guess that the difference is minimal. You could take meter readings on both and work it out.

The electric shower costs at lot less for a 10 minute shower. It's energy rated A. Also power shower uses around 140 litres in the 10 minutes. The electric shower uses around 40 litres
