    no. It comes at a massive cost with no real benefit. If you would have so much real estate to play with, you might as well take off and land at a big 3x3km field, just like in the old days. Also you have to look into to what happens with engine failures or steering issues that might blow you out of the circle and cause crash. The whole reason behind the idea is to escape the crosswinds, but you can do that equally well by building 3 runways within 60° difference in their position between them at much lower cost

    a complete waste of money and time if you ask me
