Does anybody know if a turbo for a 105bhp 1.6 diesel Fiat bravo will fit a 120bhp 1.6 diesel Fiat Bravo. I've been looking for almosst 3 months for the exact part number but I am unable to find one and a couple of ppl are offering a turbo for the 105bhp model, they seem to think it will be ok. Any feedback or suggestions? Thanks

According to the first Google result the answer is yes.

Garrett gt14 is the turbo model used for the 105bhp and the 120bhp engine

It also notes that the 120 engine uses model gt14V

I used search term "Bravo 1.6d turbo" on mobile and it was the top listing. It also lists the engine code so just make sure it's compatible with your engine code.

Your engine code will be in your handbook and on the block of your engine or on a silver sticker/metal plate under the bonnet

In 3 months did it never occur to the mechanic to get your turbo reconditioned?

Or contact a turbo supplier for the correct info.

    Not a very helpful mechanic.

If you contact one of the turbo specialists or even a motor factor with the details they should be able to answer your question very easily I'd imagine

Would you believe i rang fiat parts in enniscorthy and they told me they didnt have the parts catalogue and i was to ring the commercial repair place in enniscorthy as they would have the catalogue. I can honestly say its been a nightmare...mechanic seems to want me to take ownership, Fiat main dealer seem absolutely clueless

It would appear they are different according to this article.

It looks like the 105bhp has a fixed geometry turbo and the 120 has a variable geometry turbo.

Down near the bottom of the page.

Would this be a major thing?
