    Hello all,

No affiliation to the company but I came across this product that may interest those with a Siemens /Vanderbilt alarm system:

    http://www.lundix.se/spc-smartbox/

    Lots of features:
    SPC SmartBox Main Features

    • Vanderbilt FlexC communication
    • Z-Wave Plus support
    • KNX support (via Weinzierl BAOS protocol)
    • MODBUS TCP protocol support (RTU supported via TCP/RTU converter)
    • Status from SPC, Z-Wave, KNX and MODBUS can be used as scene triggers and conditions
    • Triggers and conditions can be based on System time and Sunrise/Sunset time
    • Control of SPC outputs and Z-Wave, KNX and MODBUS actuators
    • Reading values from Z-Wave, KNX and MODBUS sensors
    • Push Notifications (Email, Pushover)
    • Powerful Scene Engine
    • Very easy to use web based Scene Editor
    • Web based Admin GUI
    • Web based Dashboard and editor

It's not available yet it seems but hopefully not too long. Might interest those looking at home automation etc..

    Regards,

    Leo

Yep, it's the same as the full alarm system just with the alarm components removed. Although, having pirs for security and automation is a plus.

There is a guy developing a smart things interface into it, so that the alarm system will control anything smart things can control and smart things can also set the alarm etc.

In theory, I should be able to integrate and control Phillips hue devices based in logic from my alarm system pirs, alarm status, arming disarming night mode etc.
