Loose manhole cover causing lots of noise

Hi, There are loose manhole covers at 2 locations in Galway city which are very noisy when cars drive over them. I reported them to GCC over 6 months ago but no success. Irish water tell me that they are eircom manholes. The location is here; (R336, outside Apple Green service station on the Tuam Rd, Galway City)…

Hi,

There are loose manhole covers at 2 locations in Galway city which are very noisy when cars drive over them.
I reported them to GCC over 6 months ago but no success. Irish water tell me that they are eircom manholes.

You could use FixMyStreet.ie to highlight the issue

That's an enet manhole. Report it to Enet and cc galway roads department. They'll get it remediated

I tried that but GCC are really bad at rectifying issues, apart from an acknowledgement they don't do anything to fix things like this.

I'll try reporting it to Enet.

I reported it to GCC over a year ago but they seem to think its an irish water manhole (I reported it to IW and they say its not theirs)

If you give our dangerous plants team a ring on 1850 245 424 they will be able to check this for you.

If this is an eir manhole they will be able to assist you with this.
