Microphone for use with phone.

    I was going to try to put together some soundscapes for extremely nerdish reasons. I've been using my (Android) phone but the microphone isn't great. For example, I was trying to record birds singing and I got a lot of rustling and breathing, and some wind noises*, with dim birdish sounds in the background.
    Can anyone recommend a microphone on the market that might help? I don't need super high quality, just an improvement on my phone's inbuilt mic.
