Hi. Does anyone know of an good aftershave that's not tested on animals? If so where can it be bought? Thanks.

The Marks & Spencer ranges of perfume are cruelty free, from what i understand, and often made to mimic more mainstream scents. I can't speak for the aftershave, but I'd imagine the same would apply.

Body shop are owned by l'oreal, I believe. They also, last time i checked, don't abide by a fixed cut off date for animal testing.

It's because they started selling in China, which means they must be tested on animals by law. So they may not test on them here, themselves, but in China they have to.

Not aftershaves persay but if you look up eden perfumes in Brighton they have a full range of the big name brands made by themselves which are all Vegan certified.

I got Aqua di gio, Issey miakey and Cool water. All smell the exact same as the originals. Just parcel motel for delivery.

I could not recommend enough. I think they also work out cheaper too IIRC.

I buy as much of my soaps, deoderants, clothes washing liquid, fabric conditioner, deoderant washing-up liquid etc from M&S own brand which have the "leaping Bunny" logo, as they are certified by http://www.leapingbunny.org/ . They certify that a company sells product that are cruelty-free.

The body shop was taken off their list a copule of years back 'cos they could not verify that the raw materials used in their products were cruelty free (after they started sourcing from Pakistan, if I remember correctly). Just looking again at the leaping Bunny website now, I see the Body shop are back on the website, so it looks like they have satisfied the criteria once more.

"The Company does not and shall not conduct, Commission, or be a party to Animal Testing of any Cosmetic and/or Household Products including, without limitation, formulations and Ingredients of such products."

They may be on the list again, but important to note that The Body Shop are owned by l'Oreal, which would be a deal breaker for some people.
