Why NI does not join ROI

They must hate the Irish then. Their economy is comparable to a poor eastern European country, their GDP per capita is half that of the south. Do they consider the Irish to be sub humans even though they seem to live in a bigger misery themselves? Why religion is still a thing in this day and age?

Considering they've, what is it an eight? Of our population that's pretty good going.

    1/8? More like 40%
    ROI - 4.7 mil
    NI - 1.8

The Tories are busily fixing both of those issues.

Sterling's trading like a yoyo on crack while the NHS is being progressively dismantled.

In the words of Francois Mauriac
i love Germany Ireland so much i'm glad there are two of them

A forced marriage post Brexit would be a disaster for both parties.

I'm sure most of them don't hate the Irish, they simply grew up with either a Northern Irish or British identity, and hence don't identify as Irish. But then again, I'm sure you know this OP.

If Scotland leaves the UK (slim chance) the position of the North within the UK would untenable. London would want to offload it pretty sharpish. Nothing lasts forever and what began a century ago with the decline and eventual demise of the British empire will end with the dissolution of the UK. That said I doubt the UK is going anywhere in the near future so we won't be inheriting 1 million very angry unionists in the short term. The SNP is marxist poison imo and a lot of Scots also share that opinion.

Didn't realise they had a population that high. They're still more productive than us though. By 10%, of have I messed up my maths again?

If you have to ask why you either won't understand the answer or won't agree with it.

They don't want to. Roughly 50% see themselves as part of the UK, because technically they are part of the UK.
The cost of living in Ireland is very high in comparison. They enjoy free healthcare, better services all round then we do. Even the hardiest Nationalists are now saying that they really only want to be free of the UK, not necessarily a united ireland 🇮🇪

Let the North govern itself. Maybe a loose federation. It would be an absolute disaster if the clowns in Leisure House were put in charge of Northern Ireland.
