Family resort like Cambrils Park but not as expensive?

    Hi,

We've been to Cambrils Park 2 or 3 times and love it. However, it's expensive, abour €2,400 for 11 nights.

Can anyone suggest somewhere similar to it but not as expensive. What we'd like is-
    • close to airport so no need for car rental (not a deal breaker but great if possible)
    • 2 or 3 bedroom accomodation, ideally with living room/kitchen
    • accommodation on ground so kids can play out front
    • suitable for toddler- e.g. toddlers pool
    • self contained location (so don't need to venture outside)
    • nice pools

It doesn't have to be near the sea.

    Thanks,
    Pa.

    La Sirene in France
2400eur for 11 nights sounds expensive? What time of year are you going and what is the accomadation?

I got 14 nights in Camping Bella Italia in Jun this year for 1650eur in a 3 bed Eurocamp mobile home

That's for mid to end August. It's an expensive site alright. They get so many repeat customers and business through word of mouth that I think they can charge the extra.

I'll check out the two you mentioned.
    Thanks

La Sirene has had a major revamp and has its own water park on site

We went in 2008 and it was good then but is much better now

My preference is for Spain/Portugal/Italy now after experiencing many years of the infamous French hospitality

Thing I have noticed, as someone who is about to book a week in July at a campsite, is that there is a fair difference between June and July prices.

July appears to be peak when June isn't.

Personally I think those type parks are overrated and overpriced. Too many people in the pools and in general. You could have a nice 2/3 bedroom apartment with a pool adjoining for maybe €100 per night in loads of places. Close to beaches and restaurants too. We have done all sorts of parks, complexes, etc. over the years.
AirBnb is the way we go any more.

    How about Portugal https://www.martinhal.com/sagres/en/

5* resort ideally suited & designed for families, however you'd have to rent a car to get there, it's a drive from Faro. It's expensive but may be what you'd like, have a look. If you weren't restricted with schools, September might be cheaper ?
