    Hi.

I wonder is there anyone in the Limerick area that could check a torque wrench for me against their own.

I'm not convinced my one is calibrated correctly and io dont want to cause any damage by using it if it's not working properly.

I have gone over a few vids online but still not sure its right.

Any help would be kindly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Who calibrated it? What were the results?
Best advice I can give would be to go back to whoever performed the calibration.

Just a tip re torque wrenches. Always slacken off the spring completely when not in use.

Put the square drive of the wrench in a bench vice, measure exactly 1 foot from the centre of the square along the handle, tape a large nut at this point.
Now press a bathroom scales against the taped nut and measure the pounds reading on the bathroom scales just when the wrench clicks. Compare this to your wrench scale.
You can check the accuracy of your bathroom scales with a known weight.

    ^ Nice :)
A luggage scale, the electronic kind, is more accurate than a bathroom scale, and easier to use in this setup.

...or hang a known weight - even easier.

If it's an expensive wrench BHP laboratories in Limerick calibrate them.

    What brand is it ?

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Love the calibration set-ups guys, genius, if it's a pro job then MQS in Dublin can do them too.
