    Hello,
We are a young family that did got our lovely child a month ago.
Just was wondering if family income support can be claimed by me, as a the father in full time work, getting min. hourly rate on a 40h/w., while the mother is on maternity leave!
Does maternity benefit count as income?
    Or as "benefit".
    Thank you.

No, unfortunately. Am in a similar boat myself, i asked In SW office if I could apply for FIS and they said only when I'm back in work.
