    Hi there,

So I'm interested in buying an ex-commercial vehicle which has signage along one side only (see pic).

Apparently it was from stickers, but when removed they left that behind.

Can anyone advise on what it would cost to get that area touched up, or if there's an alternative way to remove it? The seller suggested a heat gun, but that sounds dodgy to me.

    Thanks.

Give a few places that apply wraps and signs a ring and ask their advice on cost.

What exactly is left on the car? Is it just residue from the decals or has the clear coat been pulled away?

If that's paint fade, it's by far the worst I've ever seen.

Worth checking with your local valetor or detailer, hopefully it's just residue that would Polish out.

I haven't actually viewed the car yet - doing so tomorrow morning.

I was told on the phone it's some sort of residue from the stickers which a heat gun might remove. Has anyone got something similar done before, either at a garage or themselves?

Also, if it is the paint that's faded (I will check ip close tomorrow) any ideas what it might cost to fix?

    Thanks again.

You just need tar and glue remover or a heat gun. Bizzare that the seller hasn't done anything with it.

I'd be trying an area of it first though to see what's underneath
