    Hi

I don't know if i can post this here but please bear with me.

I was married once and have been separated from last 6 years.

I went to a solicitor and started divorce procedure. We have no property saving or children.

Me and my ex have attended solicitors office several times and we both want to get divorce.

My ex had a solicitor but he died.

So i thought it would be a simple case however i am with this solicitor who is very unresponsive to me as in don't return calls or any emails. I have paid her so far 1600€ and the case hasn't even gone to court yet.

Today she wrote an email saying that she wants my ex to get a solicitor before she will file case.

Am I being run around here. All I can sense is that she might be asking for more money.

I am trying with her since September 2015.

If you have a separation agreement and both of you are happy with the split you don't need a solicitor. You can represent yourself for a few euro. Visit your local court and speak to the clerks. They will guide you through the process. You only need a solicitor if you still have issues to thrash out.

    Best of luck...
