Trim plastic cladding shower

    Hi All

I have to replace a shower door for someone this weekend. The door has been ordered and delivered. The shower is not tiled it has that plastic cladding\plastic panels that are fixed to the walls instead of tiles. I will need to trim some of the plastic (maybe 5 - 10 mm or so) so that the replacement door (which is a little wider then current broken door) can be centered on the edge of the shower tray and attached to the wall.

I'm not on site and wont be until Saturday, Its already attached the wall so I wont get away with the jig saw, I'm wondering if I will get away trimming it with a Stanley? Thinking to have a look in a hardware store tonight for a hand saw that might do the trick

Anyone have any input on working with this stuff while its attached to the wall ?

I have given a thought to ripping it out and replacing it, but its for a family member who doesn't have much money at the moment - I'd have to bear the cost which isn't really an option at the moment.

    Thanks lads
