Doing the test in a centre with high pass rates

I live in an area with a very low pass rate (in the 40s). So I was wondering if there would be any advantage to doing the test somewhere else that has consistently high pass rates? Everyone suggests you need to know the test route, but surely a few pre-tests in the area the day of the test would suffice?

    Thoughts?

I would agree if you do the test in a low pass rate with high traffic, lots of children playing etc. it would be difficult to pass. Alternatively a place where there is a high pass rate with little traffic (maybe at 11am) which would be much easier to pass.

You should ask someone (preferably a driving instructor) who has done their test in the area you are going to apply for any tips - where you are asked to perform a turn etc. My driving instructor knew these important factors and the 3 possible routes I could be taken on and I had the same route driven numerous times before I took my real test. Therefore it helped and I passed first time round, thanks to my driving instructor.

Did you do your test in your local area, or at a centre with high pass rates?

I done mine in Limerick City, there were 3 different routes to take and the instructor brought me on all of them. I remember the instructor telling me I could do it in Shannon (Co Clare) where the pass rate was higher and the traffic would be less. However I done mine (i think) on a Saturday around 11am or 3pm when the traffic was practically none. This was about 15 years ago. I also got a driving lesson before my exam so I was in the correct driving mode.
