    ordered item on ebay which never arrived, raised the issue with ebay and was surprised to get this response. Seems they view Irish people as some kind of gob****es that they wont cover with the same guarantee the give to UK.:mad:

    I can understand that you are concerned about why eBay doesn't cover eBay Ireland purchases. Please let me share that our policy does not cover eBay Ireland purchases. But let me share that if a purchase is made via confirm PayPal account then the PayPal buyers protection covers eBay Ireland buyers, for which the buyer needs to open a dispute on PayPal. Let me share that you may also consider opening a dispute for this transaction if you have still not received the item.
    Ive looked into this and I can see that you purchased this item in eBay Ireland site. Please note that we can only cover transactions that were made in eBay United Kingdom site. Since you paid for this item through PayPal, the best thing you can do is to file a claim on PayPal Resolution Centre.

    10 times the population maybe. It's the same result anyway. Did the buyer give you tracking?

    Sure aren't everywhere outsourcing these days. I've had similarly worded responses from Eir.
