    Dear LIDL

please do not spread these items all over the shop and place them alongside each other for ease of finding the bargain

    Thank you

    Is it now?

    G'wan away with your agendas!

Completely forgot about this deal, thanks a mil for the reminder.

I doubt it'll be set up like the 14e meal deal in Marks, but sure every trip to Aldi or Lidl is like being on Supermarket Sweep.

Correct, no eggs but half dozen are only €1.19 so effectively €4.19 for the brekkie - still a good deal

Lolz, like good German company -

    Eggs in the eggs area
    Rashers in the rashers area
Orange juice in the orange juice area

    Etc etc

Taste the same as any other sausages if you are dying with a hangover but otherwise they are fairly bland and a bit greasy. They do a Glensallagh "Board Bia" branded sausage for a few cents more (normal price) which is much better than these.

The rest of the offer is really excellent quality food !

In LIDL Eastwall these are now all together in the specials 'chiller'.

The sausages look like their most basic brand, but the rashers look good and I normally get that orange juice so all good here.

Ah now, what do you expect for 3e!

    Hash browns?
    Are you American?
Tomato? ...well, I agree with you on that one.
    Questions?
    You have them?

    My turn!

    KFC doesn't use real chicken

McDonald's apple pies use turnip rather than apple.

Just FYI picked up mine in togher in Cork when I was getting plants all in the specials fridge in a row.

Its a total saving of €1.66.

The sausages are really cheap yokes - 58% pork would never buy them normally so its more like a 77c saving for me so unless you're going there anyway probably not worth it.

If that is true, how did they grow to having thousands of stores each?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,178 ✭✭✭killbillvol2

Putting them all together in one place destroys the Lidl shopping experience IMO.

I enjoy the treasure hunt aspect of going there as much as anything else.

I concur, like yourself I have tried every single food product in both and find them all utterly vile -and like your good-self I am sure as hell going to keep it secret where I have found the hugely better quality food at a similar price.

    No mushrooms either?

This 'bargain' should be in 'consumer issues' for breach of the trade descriptions act.

Full Irish? Someone is having a giraffe.

    No mushrooms either?

If you push the boat out and spend €3.49 you'll get yr mushrooms
