Broombridge Leap Card Validators

Anyone know if the validators at above station are working these days? Was last there Jan 2016 and they weren't.

They did get new validators put in. Unsure if they are still operational.

Am living near Tolka Valley Road wondering if handy to go through park to that station, is the park safe enough?

I was at Broombridge about a year ago and they were working.

Daytime, yes. After dark, I don't know - does it have lighting?

Slow progress with LUAS Depot coming on stream beside station. Validators were working yesterday morning for me.

Still not sure it would be safe going through park from that stop to to Finglas road at night!

They are armoured units. Also, things have changed - there's a massive Luas depot being built beside it.

Has that got rid of the scummers riding scramblers and mopeds on the platform and burning out cars near the tracks?! That would be the dawning of a new era for Broombridge

The area where the cars used to be burnt out has been built on.

I'm hoping they don't throw the depot in the canal.

Seriously though, where is the LUAS stop going to be in relation to the platform? Currently it looks like you might have to walk to the end where the bridge is, and walk around that way to get to the LUAS.

The Luas stop is just behind the westbound platform with a drop off point for cars to be provided. There will be a wheelchair lift built at the city end of the train station to make for easier transfers.
