    Hi,

Below is a picture of my magnolia as it currently is today. It's getting a bit big for our front garden but I'm unsure about how to go about cutting it back. Does anyone know what time of year it can be cut back and how much can I cut it back by? All help greatly received!

Its not really recommended to prune Magnolias but if you do it, do it in late summer.

It's such a lovely healthy shapely floriferous looking plant, seems a shame to prune it at all.

Same here. It is a lovely specimen and pruning will ruin it. It looks to have plenty space to grow in the picture. Perhaps give it another few years?

The size and shape are perfect. How old is it? It may not grow much bigger.
