    Hi,

I have a 98 suzuki swift that failed the NCT on emissions. Havnt a clue where to begin, could be a hole in the exhaust, kaputt catalitic converter or lamda sensor.

Used diptene but it still failed.

I can check for holes in the exhaust but how would i check for a dodgy cat or lamda sensor?

Also, is there any cheap way measure the emissions other than paying €55 to the NCT thieves?

    Thanks in advance.

Post up the nct results and start from there, most mechanics now have their own test equipment so they should be able to test prior to another nct test.
