Is Amazon slower than usual lately?

Placed an order last night for a bunch of items, most of which sold & fulfilled by Amazon, all fulfilled by Amazon. All in stock. Chose the free shipping option as my order was €100 or so and it was an option.

Delivery date, to Parcel Motel, listed as next Monday?! It's been 24 hours and hasn't even moved to Preparing for Dispatch yet.

I can't remember the last time it gave me an estimated date so far away when I was having items that were in stock delivered to a UK address. Anyone else experience similar, or did I just happen to strike some random combination of items that are difficult to put together? It's not the end of the world as they're not time-sensitive items, but if deliveries are slower than usual, I'd like to know as I might look elsewhere for some stuff over the next few weeks or months.

Yeh thats the way Amazon have been doing my orders recently. Some are sent off withing 24 hours but most of the time they take up to 4 days to get the the point of dispatch and then send with Ascendia that takes another 6 working days. So I allow 2 weeks for Amazon stuff with free delivery.

Not saying some orders aren't much quicker but they are becoming the exception.

    An update:

Amazon seem to be using a dedicated, Amazon-owned carrier to ferry stuff to PM in the North now? Under package tracking, it says Carrier: Amazon Logistics. Found that interesting!

They also delivered to the Newtonabbey depot this morning, despite it being a bank holiday in the North, too. Maybe they just wait until they have a container ready for PM these days? Anyway: ordered my stuff late Sunday/early Monday (not actually sure what time), and got it by Friday evening here in Dublin, delivered free (excluding the PM charge), so can't really complain.

They also seem to have cut back a bit on their excessive boxing, which I know will be a welcome change for many other PM users. I'm happy with how it turned out!

AL isnt new. They've used them intermittently for ages.

Never had them before personally, but I don't order from Amazon often.

I wonder if they're going to use them for Parcel Motel deliveries going forward? Considering they do a high volume of stuff to them, I think it would make sense.

    Placed two orders at 16-03
One with Amazon and one with an American one
American one says It should take a 14 to 20 days to get it in the house but it was there yesterday
The Amazon order stays still om not dispatched yet / delivering March 30th
So yes they getting slower and slower
    Other thing with Amazon is
Had put up some stuff in my wishlist for a later day to order
Yesterday wished to order the item and they changed delivering
No sellers deliver this item to Ireland
Looked at other items in the wish list and some where changed also in not delivering to Ireland
    They getting horrible
Thinking about to quit with them
Other reason for it is there are loads of internetshops out there like them who does free delivering worldwide
