Irish date format becoming Americanised

I just noticed the maintenance message on the site: Since when did Irish people start saying "March 14th" and not "14th of March"? It's not just this message, I think it is getting more and more common with US shows etc.

Since when did Irish people start saying "March 14th" and not "14th of March"? It's not just this message, I think it is getting more and more common with US shows etc.
