Rent deposit not being returned!!

Okay so I recently moved out of an apartment that I had been living in for the last year. We moved out almost a month ago and still have not received our deposit. We paid our rent in full until we moved out and our lease was for 12months so we did not break our lease. The landlord is wanting to take 250e from our deposit because there was damage done to one of the mattresses. The mattress began to rip on one side due to normal wear and tear but she is insisting that we ripped it on purpose and that we should have to pay for it. The house was in horrible condition it was extremely damp and covered in mould which we believe actually could have damaged the mattress and caused it to break because it was up against the wall beside the Windows until we noticed how bad the damp was and we moved it away. We also had inspections every three months that we were living in the apartments and they never had any problems with the conditions of the house. We told them about the mould from the very first inspection and we were told there was nothing they could do and to just try to clean it ourselves. We did this all year and kept the place clean and took photos of the mold as proof. The mold was in every room and she is claiming that there was only ever mould in one room and that it is our fault that the other rooms got mouldy. I don't know what to do here but we need to get our full deposit back. Any advice welcome.
