Imagine you built a house, totally finished it, tiled it, painted it and moved in. Then you thought oh i forgot the electricity and you set about installing all the switches, cables and fuse boxes etc - that is the level of hardship that is involved.

It would be easier and cheaper to sell the car and buy one with AC.

Not quite. Say your house was built on an assembly line with all cables and fuses put in all houses, but the switches only put in the houses that spec'd electricity.

Cables are there waiting to be connected.

It can be done but would not be worth it, I would say €1200-€1500, Toyota dealer could do it. Sell the car and buy one with it is the best advice, go for one with climate control instead of just air conditioning, much better system.

There are several places around Galway that handles AC, but I doubt any of them would install AC into a car that didn't have it already.
    Go and see.

It can be done, as the Toyotas usually have the one loom, with everything on it.... But... It's not worth the hassle.

    Buy a new car

Toyota can do it. There is probably a kit of parts but how much it will cost is a different question.

I had it done to a RAV4 when they came with only the sunroof as standard before delivery.

There was no issue getting it done.

Cooling fans and controller are different, as are the cockpit controls and the blower motor assembly, then you need a condenser, compressor, dryer, all the ac pipes and lines, new aux belt brackets and setup, expansion valve, evaporator and some wiring. The cost would be eye watering as the dash has to come out just to fit the evaporator.

Sell it and buy an Auris Luna, or a Civic.

    Just isn't worth it.
By all means if you want it then go ahead.
You will need the compressor, a longer fan belt, a condenser, another ac radiator, low and higg pressure pipes, then you'd have to change the fascia so that you would now have one with the ac button.
Then you'd need to wire all of that up.
    Worth it?
