Do you want to ship it unaccompanied or drive it down? I would say it will cost more to drive it down than it would ship it when you take in to account ferry costs and the need for overnight accommodation stops on the way.

I think the only ferry service is from Pozzallo in Sicilly where you could drive on to the ferry. Various shipping companies should be able to offer you a price to ship it from Dublin Port to Valetta in a container, possibly looking at about €1000 in a 20ft container.

This site is useful for container shipping calculations...

Ring around freight & logistics operators for a quote & then weigh up if your willing to pay for the convenience of such a service.

My parents drove a couple of times... They were there for 3-4 months at a time. Took about 3-4 days... Ferry to cherburg, drove through France and got a ferry for north Italy to sicily and one final ferry to Malta.

Price to ship it was quite high... As is the cost to register a car over there.

Have you ever actually shipped anything via a container or is this another google search input which are usually misleading.

I would love for your to back up that ridiculous post giving false hope yo the OP other that clickbait website where 501 additional charges are not included. Dublin to Valletta will involve several changes and take quite a while. OP be aware of this. Contact a shipping agent yourself for a reliable reply. I've used Doyle shipping several times who are a decent outfit,

Although I have a feeling that it will be more hassle than it's worth and driving might be the easier option if it's possible. Make a little holiday out of it.

    Gonna drive it, Thanks.

Should be a good memorable drive even if a tiring one if you can afford the time to complete some detours, although less need for a car now that the azure window has collapsed :(
