    Could it be possible I saw a swallow today? Convinced it was one. In Whiting Bay near Ardmore.

    I would say, based on date, weather, wind direction etc. that is highly unlikely.

    Obviously I can't vouch for them personally, but there some Swallow records on IrishBirding from yesterday and today.
