    Hi guys,

Yesterday our JR Bandit turned one year old ! :)

I was wondering if you guys could recommend me a comportemental group a comportemental trainer for Bandit and me as we might have some comportemental issues to solve?

We found one but we have been asked for 140€ for 2 hours which I think is pretty expensive.

    Regards

What sort of behavioural issues do you want to address?
A 2 hour session for that sort of money is usually to deal with relatively serious stuff, but serious stuff often requires more than one session.
Nevertheless, that price is a tad high imo ... Depending upon what the issues are, you may be fine with a good trainer who doesn't charge as much.

Hi DBB thanks for your reply .

The two issues bandit has are his toilets issue (does not happen every time but he sometimes pee and poop when we are home).

Even if we are going out with him quit often the other issue Is that we can't let him without supervision in the garden otherwise he escapes and runaway .

Ah okay... They're more training issues rather than behavioural ones, so you don't necessarily have to pay behaviourists' fees!
Now, I know two good, ethical, certified trainers but both are an hour away from you. You've Josanne Dodd in Oola (Co. Limerick), and Danielle Coppack in East Kerry, near Abbeyfeale (also Co. Limerick).
A Google search will find both of them... Whether they'll travel to you is something you'll need to ask them! But both would be reasonable price-wise :)

I know of one in Midleton if that's any help, one of our SARDA dog handlers.

I'd also say that any trainer you're going to consult will tell you that the only reliable way to stop your dog escaping from your garden is to make it escape-proof, or organise some sort of fenced-in area for him. If he's prone to running off, I wouldn't rely 100% on any training to keep him in.
