    Hi guys,

I'm wondering if there's anyone with VAGCOM near D15 that would be able to quickly help me with something?

The frequency of my headlight washers activating really annoyed me so I wanted to prolong the headlight washer trigger time in the hope that I could "control" / delay their operation (ie. pull the stalk for 5 seconds to activate headlight washers)

However, I stupidly changed the Headlight washer duration to 5 seconds instead!!
    09 – Cent. Elect.]
    [Security Access - 16] [Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 6

Now the headlight washers still activate as frequently as before but for an even longer 5 second burst which makes it look like an elephant has jizzed all over the front of my car

If someone could quickly help me set the Headlight Washer Duration back to default and then to completely disable the headlight washers altogether (module 9 byte 20) , that would be great.

I've since found my cable, I was out of action for a while.
I can do it for you.

    Hi Guys,

I am also stuck with something. A friend of mine who was making some tweaks to my car accidentally caused a fault in the high beam assist and didn't have the capability to rectify it. I am wondering would any of you guys be able to help out. I have the steps to rectify it but don't have the necessary equipment - VCDS and cable etc. Any help would be appreciated.

In case it helps here's the steps that I think need to be taken.

Whilst messing with module [55 - Headlight Range], I caused the system to fault out. High-beam assist became inoperative as well. I replaced the long coding to the original factory settings but was still getting a "Calibration missing - Basic setting" fault in VCDS. To fix this perform the following steps (from memory so excuse any mis-wording):

    1. Select [Basic Settings - 04] in modele [55 - Headlight Range]
    2. Select [Basic Setting] from the pull down menu
    3. Click GO and wait for acknowledgement that the function performed properly
    4. Select [Acknowledge Basic Setting] from the pull down menu
    5. Click GO and wait for acknowledgement that the function performed properly
    6. Exit Basic settings and clear any existing DTCs listed under [Faults]
    7. Close the controller and exit VCDS
    8. Verify proper operation by turn headlights off/on and activating High-Beam Assist.
