Macbook Pro and MicroSD issue

    Hi,

Today I tried to format a MicroSD card in Disk Utilities. I went into security options and selected "Most Secure" (which erases info used to access files and writes over the data 7 times)

I force quit it after realising it was taking far longer than expected (I expected it to be v. slow)

Now when I plug it into my MBP, a pop up says "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer".

Anyone have any ideas how I can get it to work again? It would be greatly appreciated!

You need to reformat it. You interrupted it, before it finished, so there is no format on the disk.

Just do it all again, and allow it to finish this time.

In case anyone else has the same problem in future, can you tell us what you did fix it, deadanonymau5? Did Paulw's suggestion work or did you do something else?

After the "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" pop up I assumed the microsd was bolloxed(bad history with sd cards). It didnt appear as an item under "Apple SD Card Reader Media" drop down in Disk Utilities like normal. All I did was click "Apple SD Card Reader Media" and format.
