Adapter question

I have a cable that looks like or might actually be a 3.5mm audio input cable. When I touch this cable against my dvr box where you plug in the cameras I can see the video feed that is coming from the cable on the tv. However it doesnt fit the connection. What adapter do I need to buy to make it fit?

This is the cable I'm trying to put into the back of my DVR where my other camera connect to.

As we don't have a pic of the socket in the DVR it is impossible to suggest something.

Is it a 3.5mm jack socket? If so this might do

It's the bog standard dvr connector where you insert the cam. BNC connection they are called afaik.
