Reprogram ABS - any alternative to main Audi dealer?

    Hi.
    I have a 2013 diesel Audi A6 saloon.
I had a bit of a tip in it recently which caused some front body damage but also the power steering is no longer working now.
Brought it to a garage guy today whose diagnostics equipment showed up a communication fault & he is of the opinion that the ABS needs to be re-programmed.

Anyone know if there is an alternative to going to a main Audi dealer to get this done? I haven't got a quote yet but from past experience of dealing with the local Audi dealership - I would imagine they will charge through the nose.

Forgive my ignorance in matters such as these - but would there be independent garage guys who can do this - or is it a main dealer only jobbie?

    Thanks for any advice.
