    I'm trying to remember which comic it was that I saw a story in, I'm almost sure it was 2000ad. The gist of it was people or giants living underground and they were living off of some kind of fungus that also gave them light. It may have been a one-off story series that they were running. It would be from the early to mid-nineties.
