    It's for a personal email account....at the moment there is no organisation setup....thanks.

    If you mean just the blurb at the bottom of most emails just copy one from somewhere. It doesn't matter what you put in them they are legally meaningless.

    Well not legally meaningless, possibly useless possibly not, but worth a few words. For example one might put a disclaimer pointing out any prices are mere invitations treat.

    But surely that is stating the obvious? And not really what the op is asking, i think .

    Until a judge decides that you can form a unilateral contract via an email signature then they are useless.

    I think you're conflating things there. A signature may be helpful in clarifying any number of things, I simply took that as an example. Stating something to the effect 'all email coraspondance are considered quotations and mere invitations to treat' would prevent the body of the email being considered an offer capable of acceptance which is completely possible by email.

    Anyway it was simply one example of where an e-mail signature (I think the OP means disclaimer) would have legal effect. I'm sure there are a thousand others where it would and a thousand others where it wouldn't.
